​The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announces a revised start date for the bridge replacement on Double Bridges Road (S-41-26) over Clouds Creek in Saluda County. This bridge is currently posted due to the deterioration of the bridge deck.

Originally, SCDOT planned to begin work on July 20, 2015. Due to conflicts with the contractor’s schedule, the revised start date is now Aug. 17, 2015. Pending any delays due to weather conditions or other factors, the new bridge is now expected to be re-opened to traffic by Oct. 30, 2015.

A detour will be posted, guiding traffic from Double Bridges Road to High Point Road to Matthews Road.
