Meeting:

Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the City of Conway Recreation Center, located at 1515 Mill Pond Road, Conway, South Carolina 29527.  The meeting will have a drop-in format with project displays available for viewing.  Citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments.  A formal presentation will not be given at this time. 

Purpose:

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in partnership with Horry County proposes to construct Phase II of Conway Perimeter Road from US 378 (at El Bethel Road) to US 701 South. This new road will feature 4-lanes with median and turning lanes at the intersection and pedestrian facilities.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project to the public, and to solicit input on the project from area residents.  Another purpose of the meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.  Engineering and Environmental personnel from the SCDOT, Horry County, and their Consultant will be available to answer questions and discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
