Thursday, November 14, 2019 drop-in from 5 - 7 PM at Seaside Elementary School in the cafeteria located at 1605 Woodland Dr., Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The meeting will have a drop-in type format with displays for viewing and citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments. Formal, verbal comments will not be taken during this meeting. Project information, including meeting material, will also be available on the project website http://arcg.is/1ySq94 (case sensitive) or by accessing South Carolina Department of Transportation's (SCDOT) website (http://www.scdot.org, Public Involvement Portal- Current Projects).
The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT and Horry County the proposed intersection improvements to US 17 Business at Garden City Conn./Pine Ave., US 17 Business at Atlantic Ave./Jamestown Dr., and US 17 Business at Inlet Square Dr./ Mt. Gilead Rd. This project is part of the Horry County RIDE III Sales Tax Program. The proposed project would improve capacity and safety at each intersection. Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are also being considered. Another purpose of this meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT and Horry County will be available to answer questions and discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
