Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Barnwell Elementary School located at 10524 Marlboro Avenue Barnwell, SC 29812. This meeting will have a drop-in format with displays for viewing. Citizens will also have the opportunity to provide written comments. Formal, verbal comments will not be taken during this meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity to review and discuss individually with representatives from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) the proposed corridor improvements along SC-3 (Marlboro Ave.) from S-11 (Main St.) to S-169 (Ashleigh Rd.) in both the City and County of Barnwell. The proposed project will include additional width paved shoulders and various pedestrian connectivity upgrades within the city limits. Another purpose of this meeting is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT will be available to answer questions and discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.
