| Florence, S.C. (May 11, 2023) - Today SCDOT began construction work on Knollwood Road in Florence County as a part of the Alligator Road Widening Project. Knollwood Road is closed today and tomorrow, from the intersection of Alligator Road to the bridge over Forrest Lake. Motorists should expect delays due to lane closures and potential traffic congestion, and should consider alternate routes if possible. SCDOT expects to finish this work on Friday, May 12.
