PROPOSED SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT SC 118 (UNIVERSITY PKWY) AND S-105 (VAUCLUSE RD) - Aiken County

Meeting:

Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 5-7 PM at The University of South Carolina Aiken Etherredge Center, located at 340 Scholar Loop, Aiken, SC 29801. This is a drop-in meeting providing citizens with project displays and the opportunity to provide written comments.  Formal verbal comments will not be taken during this meeting.  Project information, including meeting material, will also be available on the project website https://scdotgis.online/SC118atVaucluseRdSafetyProject or by accessing SCDOTs website (http://www.scdot.org, Public Involvement Portal- Current Projects).

 

Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for citizens to review and discuss individually with representatives from SCDOT the proposed SC 118 (University Pkwy) Safety Improvement Project in Aiken County.  The proposed project will extend the left turn lane storage on the eastbound approach of University Parkway turning onto Vaucluse Rd, construct a right turn lane on the southbound approach of Vaucluse Road turning right onto University Parkway and construct a cul-de-sac on Croft Mill Rd approximately 425 ft. from University Parkway. Another purpose of this public comment period is to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area. Personnel from SCDOT will respond to comments received during the public comment period.  If you have any questions regarding the project or any of the informational materials provided, please contact the SCDOT Project Manager using the information provided below.
