Columbia, S.C. (January 21, 2025) - SCDOT has canceled a public meeting that was planned for Thursday, January 23 at Socastee High School due to expected impacts from winter weather. SCDOT will reschedule the meeting and announce a new date.

The drop-in style public meeting was scheduled to provide information to members of the public about proposed highway safety improvements on SC 707 (Socastee Boulevard).

Members of the public may still learn about the project by visiting the project website. SCDOT is accepting public comments on the proposed project through February 7, 2025.
