| South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Commissioner John N. Hardee has been Elected Vice Chairman of the SASHTO Special Committee on Boards and Commissions at the Annual SASHTO meeting.

The action took place at a recent meeting of SASHTO (Southeastern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) in Norfolk, Virginia. SASHTO is comprised of departments of transportation from 13 southeastern states including South Carolina.
Hardee is now in line to be elected Chairman in 2005 at the next meeting.
Hardee, of Columbia, represents the 2nd Congressional District on the SCDOT Commission. He is Director of Governmental Affairs for Lamar Advertising.
He is married to the former Sheila Leatherman, daughter of Senator Hugh Leatherman, and is the father of one son, John Hardee II. |
