APPLICANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Notification of Installation: Inform the District Bridge Engineer (DBE), District Maintenance Engineer (DME), Hydraulic Design Policy Engineer (HDPE), and the Resident Maintenance Engineer (RME) of the planned installation schedule.
b) Completion Notification: Inform the District Bridge Engineer (DBE), District Maintenance Engineer (DME), Hydraulic Design Policy Engineer (HDPE), and the Resident Maintenance Engineer (RME) upon completion of installation.
c) Issue Reporting: Report any issues with the gage and method of providing data to HDSO within one (1) business day.
d) Quality Control and Assurance: QC/QA will be performed on gage data by a human once per year and published in a document which is sent to HDSO.
e) Site Visits: Visit the installation site in person four (4) times per year to carry out maintenance, check reading with at-site measurements, and physical checking and review of gage components and position. Special provisions will apply for coastal environment, tidally affected, or brackish water sites.
f) Survey Requirements: Adhere to the SCDOT Survey Manual, and reference the National Geodetic Survey monuments before site surveys. Survey all gage benchmarks, bridge low chords, and centerline deck elevations. Provide all Elevation, Easting, and Northing data to the HDSO using NAVD88. Check NAVD88 benchmark elevations annually and report the results to the HDSO.
g) Progress Reporting: Submit a quarterly progress report to the HDPE.
h) The Applicant or their contractor will perform all work and provide all equipment for the installation the equipment.
i) All work done by the Applicant will follow approved practices and guidance from the DBE, BMO and HDSO.
